What is Educational Therapy?

Educational Therapy is academic coaching that uses the science of learning to address each client’s learning disabilities, differences, and needs. It is practical work designed to help people think, organize time and materials, write, read, and study more efficiently and successfully.

Educational Therapy helps learners gain new and better functioning in areas that need improvement, like reading, writing, memory, and the organization of time, materials and thoughts.

Becoming an Educational Therapist gives you the opportunity to establish and nurture a private practice.

This course is designed to provide a basic understanding of the clinical practice of Educational Therapy. Whether you are already well into your career as an educator, or are just starting out, this course may be right for you if:

  • you are currently working as a learning specialist and would like to enhance your skills according to the guidelines of credentialing institutions (such as AET)
  • you are a tutor who would like to add more specialization and focus to your skillset
  • you are a classroom teacher who would like to apply the art and science of Educational Therapy in your teaching practice

If you are looking for more flexibility in your work, and for the opportunity to learn how to become your own boss, this course is a great option for you.

You will also earn 30 Professional Development hours for completing this course.
